Our mission
To help Daft Punk fans find the records and collectibles worth owning, and to keep the music, the helmets and the legacy of the duo alive for new generations of listeners.
Daft and Direct is an independent, reader-supported review site and blog made by and for Daft Punk fans. Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo split up in 2021, but their records keep finding new listeners. We help you collect the music and memorabilia with confidence, and celebrate what made the duo unique.

What we stand for
- Fans first. We write as fans, for fans, with respect for the music and the people who made it.
- Collect with confidence. We point out which editions are official, how they differ and what owners say about pressing and packaging quality.
- Celebrate the legacy. Daft Punk changed electronic music. We tell that story with care and accuracy.
- Direct, as the name says. Clear verdicts, no filler.

How we review
Our reviews are research-based. We combine official release information, product specifications and patterns across verified customer reviews. We do not claim hands-on testing unless an article says so explicitly. Read the details on our How we review page.
